Diese Dekoration ist das einzige erhaltene Bühnenbildelement zur Inszenierung von F. Schillers "Die Braut von Messina oder Die feindlichen Brüder" am Meininger Hoftheater. Gemalt wurde sie vermutlich 1885 in der Werkstatt der Gebrüder Brückner.
